Tiffany Cox is one of the Counselors in Friday the 13th: The Game, and is nicknamed "The Flirty Girl".[1] She can be unlocked at Level 18, and is the last Counselor to be unlocked.

Overview[edit | edit source]

A veritable bundle of energy, the flirty girl is good at sneaking around, with a high Stealth stat, and is light enough to run for a long time with good Stamina. She tends to freak out more easily and in general has less in the way of Composure. She's a pretty versatile character, but isn't well-suited for repairing tasks like fixing cars or getting power turned back on in cabins.[1]

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Tiffany is a character who's a bit awkward when it comes to fitting in. She doesn't have the traits necessary for being a team player and can be a bit hard to use when it comes to new players. Tiffany's main role is to gather items for her teammates and to drop any useful parts at any of the objectives. Due to her maxed out stealth, she should be able to easily gather many useful items without being detected by Jason right off the bat. If Tiffany happens to find an important part to an objective, she should notify her team on what she has found and if anyone with a better repair stat can fix it up. Tiffany's repair stat is one of the lowest of any counselor and she should avoid fixing anything at all costs.

One little mistake is more enough to bring Jason to her location. Due to her high stealth, she is generally incapable of acting as a noisy decoy and her poor repair stat makes her ineffective at roaming around to fix things. While she isn't able to easily grab Jason's attention, if he just so happens to find her, Tiffany can be capable of acting as a distraction. Her above average speed and high stamina allows her to keep a safe distance from Jason while forcing him to chase her down for longer periods of time. If and when players find themselves having to act as a distraction, they should think carefully and map out multiple escape routes. Tiffany's below average luck and poor strength will not make her too effective at fighting Jason at close combat. She should stick to using long ranged weaponry if and when possible. If firearms are currently unavailable to her, she should stick to using melee weapons with high stun potential.

Other than her two roles that she is capable of fulfilling, she is still incapable of directly contributing to the team. Her best chances of survival is to simply do whatever she can and take whatever opportunity that presents itself to her. If players prefer a more passive role and just want to play stealthily while somewhat contributing to the team, Tiffany can be a great pick.

Tiffany is the ideal female counselor to wear Pamela's sweater. Because of her high stamina and stealth, she can bolt away and still stand a decent chance of staying hidden from Jason, even if he teleports to his shack. A low-stealth counselor such as Vanessa would be detected extremely easily, and would be targeted by Jason to eliminate the sweater. A low-stamina counselor such as A.J. would not have enough stamina to make it from the shack to the closest house, and would get captured by Jason if he decides to teleport there. Tiffany's high stamina is great for juking Jason, but it is still advised to stay close to other characters (especially Tommy Jarvis if he's in) for protection, and so your team is ready to kill Jason as soon as the mask is off, instead of waiting for you to arrive there and risk Tommy getting killed before you do.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Tiffany appears to be based on the twins Tina and Terri from Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984), as well as Terry McCarthy from Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981).
  • In the opening cutscene from Higgins Haven during the 2016 beta, she was always the first victim to be killed by Jason. Despite this, she was still playable. In the final product for the opening cutscenes, Rob Dier takes the place as the first victim to die instead of Tiffany.
