Pamela Voorhees is a character in Friday the 13th: The Game.
Overview[edit | edit source]
The deceased mother of Jason Voorhees, she only appears in-game as a severed head in Jason's shack; you can find it nestled on a shrine altar with some of her personal belongings. Her voice can be heard by Jason throughout the match, urging him to murder the trespassers as well as congratulating him on successfully murdering counselors. Finally, in the ending cutscene when Jason wasn't killed in a match, she will beckon for Jason to return home. Her head is the last thing all players see while the game tallies up their accomplishments/EXP earned.
When a counselor enters Jason's shack, their view will focus on Pamela's head for a moment: this will raise a counselor's fear, similar to how they panic when seeing a fellow counselor's dead body. Also, her sweater can be equipped by a female counselor in order to be used later for the Killing Jason quest. However, if a counselor isn't equipped with Jason's mask, Pamela will warn Jason someone has intruded the shack.
It is possible that in the future, Pamela will become a playable killer. However, the developers have admitted that it would require a lot of work and prefer to focus on other things than implementing Pamela.
